English F A Cup Final 2006 - 2007 Review

By Olusegun Kofoworola

F. A. CUP is the most prestigious trophy in England with great teams like Liverpool, Manchester United and a host of others having a great taste of the trophie's experience. 'Chelsea' with the introduction of 'Roman Abramovich' as the new owner of the former London own club, has not win the F A Cup since 'Abramovich' arrivals as the owner signing 'Jose Morinho' as the new manager on the 2nd of June, 2004 and recruiting players like 'Didier Drogba', 'Claude makelele', 'Michael Essien', costest Chelsea transfer 'Andfriy shevchenco', and the host of others.

'Chelsea' has a team has win the F A Cup previously in 1970, 1997 and 2000 bit has been found wanting the winners list since the change of ownership. For them the road tot eh final is said to be easy playing clubs like Norwich, Nottingham forest and may other underrated sides but the semi final encounter seems more difficult for them winning the encounter in the extraction with 'Michael Ballack' late goal.

'Manchester United' in the other hand are great side having won the cup on the several occasion 1909, 1948, 1963, 1977, 1983, 1990, 1994, 1996, 1999 and 2004. the United side which is referred to as the most successful side in the history of English football have few things to play for unlike their opponent playing for a fresh record under new owner. United’s way to the final is rather said to be a tough of others. The united started it all well and to most footballers fan round the world it was an acceptable prediction that United will tarry the F A record day of 'Chelsea' under new owner.

The much awaited day come as all roads leads tot eh newly constructed ultramodern 'Wembley' stadium. Both sides perform up to expectation but united were wasteful with 'Ryan Giggs' blasting away 'Paul Scholes' fabulous pass. 'Rooney' make good moves but could not convert any. 'Chelsea' on their side make incredible chances with 'Didier Drogba’s free kick' hitting the side goal post and 'Frank Lampard' short hitted the net top. Beyond every reasonable doubt 'Man Utd' did the playing but to may amazement 'Chelsea' the scoring.

United were close to scoring has Ryan Giggs converted Rooney’s pass wrongly and Peter Cech was there to prevent the ball from going to the net. Chelsea make the day a record one with Didier Drogba’s one two pass with Frank Lampard which differentiate the two side Chelsea with that win shamed many of their citics with that goal by scoring the way into the history book making it forth F A CUP titled and first under new ownerships.

Many said United deserved the wining but fate militate against them some said commitment fate, tactics technique work for Chelsea’s which ever way the F A CUP 2006/2007 has been decided and Chelsea are no doubt the winner. Bravo to the champions. There is no champion without runners up Bravo to the loosing side 'MAN UTD' Bravo to the Alex Fergie’s side.
