How Much Longer Are You Going To Go Without Satellite TV Programming

By: David Johnson

Satellite TV programming has been with us for many years now and it has gone through some big technological advancements from the days of its early beginnings. When it first made its initial debut, it used a big cumbersome metal dish that required the services of a contractor to have it installed and the other components were confusing and difficult to operate.

Thanks to the visionaries and pioneers at satellite TV service providers such as DirecTV and Dish Network, everything has become so much more simplified and streamlined and there are now hundred of channels to select from on satellite TV.

With the advent of high definition programming satellite TV has become an even more enticing prospect, because only satellite TV service providers can carry a high quantity of channels in high definition format. This is because cable service providers have some technological limitations to the number of channels that they can carry.

Dish Network is the all time leader in high definition programming, because they carry a full thirty-one channels in high definition format and are working on adding even more in the near future. Dish Network also specializes in movie programming and carries more standard and premium movie channels than you will find anywhere else in the TV programming industry.

What Dish Network does with movies, DirecTV does with sports programming and nowhere else will you find as much premium sport programming as you will with DirecTV. They stock a full thirty-one channels of sports programming for their sports fans and they even have some sports programming that you can't get from any other programming service provider.

They are NFL Sunday Ticket and NCAA Mega March Madness and they can both be added onto your programming package to give you an added sports bump that you might feel that you need. Both of these channels contain loads of great games, sports commentary, group discussion and debate and lots and lots of great interviews with leading sports figures in both college level, and professional sports.

All of DirecTV's and Dish Networks programming is sent out entirely in digital format for a crystal clear picture and sound and if you are coming from standard TV programming then the difference will be substantial. Don't worry about the cost of satellite TV programming, because the over all cost per channel at both of these service providers is surprisingly low and they have a broad choice of well balanced programming packages to fit anyone's budget.

If you want to get in on the cheap they both have great entry level packages that are both great deals, because while they are short on price, they are both long on programming.

One difference in cable TV programming service providers and satellite TV service providers is their base level programming packages. DirecTV and Dish Network both place a high value on the new entry level customers, because they tend to stay on and add on more programming as they go, while entry level cable customers tend to move along to satellite TV service eventually.

So you are going to find a substantially higher level of programming and service options with either of these two satellite TV service providers then you will with a cable service provider if you are in the market for a base level programming package.
