Canada the second largest country and it encompasses from the Pacific to the Atlantic, from the US border to the Arctic. From the wilderness of the north, to the farmlands, to the pristine forests, to the deserts and the badlands. Canada has some of the best scenery in the world. Why not experience for yourself the best of what Canada has to offer?
The Maritimes Provinces are where the lands and ocean meet. Here you’ll find rugged coastlines and beautiful beaches. Be sure to take a trip to Peggy’s Cove to enjoy some Celtic culture, make a stop in the picturesque city of Halifax a natural seaport, discover Gros Morne National Park and enjoy the wildlife, floral, and fauna. Then make sure to head on over to Hartland the home of the longest covered bridge in the world, then on to Park Corner Museum.
Now it’s off to Quebec the most unique province in Canada because of its French heritage. Here you’ll want to visit the St Lawrence River and take a trip to the Gaspe Peninsula. Don’t forget to stop by Quebec City to discover the world famous skyline and be sure to check out the Saguenay River’s incredible fjord. Montreal is a must stop city where you’ll find a mix of cultural festivals and attractions.
Now it’s off to Ontario located in the center of Canada. Toronto is the largest city in Canada and it offers up some the best cuisine and night life in the country. Ottawa the capital of Canada has plenty of old architecture to explore and of course there are the Parliament buildings. Niagara Falls is well known for its breathtaking falls. Take a ride on the Maid of the Mist which will take you right under the falls. Enjoy the beautiful parkland, the Minolta Tower, Marine Land, The Museum, and the fireworks. This is one of the hottest destinations and once you’ve been there you’ll understand why.
The Prairie Provinces offer you miles and miles of grain fields with both rural communities and large hub cities tucked in among the fields. Be sure to tour Winnipeg Manitoba the home of the Canadian Mint and the The Royal Ballet. Visit Science World, and the many museums. If you get the opportunity why not fly north to Churchill on the Hudson River where you can watch the beluga whales and the polar bears.
Then it’s off to Saskatchewan and you should be sure to make a stop in Regina home to the RCMP. And while you are there why not tour the Museums and Art Galleries then head north to take in the Prince Albert National Park.
As you enter Alberta be sure to stop in Medicine Hat to see the world’s tallest tee-pee at Saamis Archaeological Site. And why not spend a leisurely day at Echo Dale Park. Fish, swim, boat, hike, or enjoy the sandy beach.
Be sure to stop in Calgary a bustling metropolitan city with some of the best cuisine, unique boutiques, and of course home of the Calgary Tower. Enjoy a meal in the dining room atop the tower while you take in the breathtaking view of the city. If your timing is right you can even take in the Calgary Stampede and see real western cowboys do their thing!
Then head north to Edmonton to spend a day at West Edmonton Mall the largest mall in the world. Be sure to spend a night at the Fantasyland Hotel and enjoy a childhood fantasy!
The beautiful Canadian Rockies draw visitors from around the world. Here you’ll see big open skies, majestic mountain peaks, and forests that go on forever. And of course there’s all kinds of wildlife. Be sure to stop in Banff or Lake Louise and enjoy their mountain hospitality.
As you enter beautiful British Columbia you’ll instantly see why it’s earned this name around the globe. There are mountain ranges that just don’t quit offering you some of the most picturesque sights you’ll ever see and watch for wildlife as you travel. Be sure to stop in Kelowna a bustling city that’s in the center of the Okanagan Valley which is one of the warmest regions in Canada. Enjoy sandy beaches, hot sun, and all kinds of outdoor and water activities in the area. Oh and don’t forget to tour some of the finest wineries in the country!
Vancouver has the ultimate in locations situated right on the coast with a backdrop of beautiful mountains. There is endless activities in this bustling city. Whether you are looking for family activities or an active night life Vancouver can provide it. Don’t forget to visit Stanley Park and enjoy some of those beaches while watching the boats come and go.
A 2 hour ferry ride and you’ll be in Victoria, BC’s capital and home to the Butchart Gardens and the Royal British Columbia Museum, as well as the Parliament buildings. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the water or take a tour and do some whale watching. Be sure to spend some time on the island exploring old growth forests, a fishing tour, or some of the best shopping in the country in Nanaimo.
Now wait, we aren’t done yet! Now you need to head up to the more remote Northern Canada. Here you’ll find the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Miles and miles of snow, pristine land, wildlife galore from polar bears to bison, and then suddenly a bustling city with all the amenities. A stark contrast!
