Paintball: Different Types of Paintball Games

Paintball is an extremely fast and intense sport; as balls used as bullets are being shot at speed fast enough to cause the paintball to burst. Paintball requires a minimum of two people or as many as the facilities can hold. It is basically played in the form of everyone for themselves or in teams. The game can be play indoors or out, since it does not matter as long as the field is big enough to allow players to move around freely, but free of any pedestrians. It could be in designated fields, woods, backyards, factories or even warehouses. The time range of a paintball game can range from five minutes to hours depending on the type of games that are being held.

There are different types of games that Paintball can be played in. It can take the simplest game of tag and turn it into a intense and competitive game. Basically instead of having to run up to the other players, the player who is “IT” can easily just shoot and the other players as long as they are able to hit some then he or she will be “IT” no more. Also one game that is truly made for Paintball would be capture-the-flag. Basically is what the name implies, players must capture either a neutral flag placed from the furthest point from the two opposing team or they must capture each others flag. And one finally game worth mentioning would be attack and defend. Again it is basically a game between two teams, where one team has to defend its base for a certain amount of time while the attacking team tries to take out all the opposing team members. But basically any games could be turned into one an enjoyable one in Paintball.

The paintballs that are used are literally what the name implies, that is paint. Paintballs are basically small little balls much like the bath-oil balls you can find at any beauty supplies store. There are also plenty of different colors paintballs come in. The shell that holds the paint into a ball is a gelatin shell. The shell can either be extremely hard or soft depending on the condition they have been treated in. The shell is durable enough to survive a short distance drop but when shot out of the guns it will burst on impact leaving a big mark on the target. The paint used are non-toxic and also water soluble, so the paintballs are safe and easily to wash off.

The devices used to launch the paintballs into their intended targets are specially made paintball guns that use compressed gas to shoot. Along with the gun is the paintball container that is attached to the paintball gun called the hopper. There are actually a variety of paintball guns to choose from for serious paintball players. Ranging from pistols to long barrel rifles to automatics, it all depends on your willingness to spend. But no matter what type of guns you choose to play with, they maximum speed the guns are allowed to fire at is 300 feet per second to maintain a safe environment.

Equipments in the sport of paintball are also very important to keep the game safe at all times. The most equipment is actually the facemask goggles, which helps protect your eyes from every getting hit by a paintball. The most serious kind of injuries in the sport of paintball have been related to the eyes, so while in field of play players should always keep goggles on at all times. The facemask goggles is basically what most players only need after paintballs and the gun, but you can bring chest protectors to help reduce the chance of bruising from a shot.

Paintballs are usually played in a recreational sense, but it is also used by the military and police training. As paintball is the closest simulation to allow soldiers and polices to get a sense of what combat situation really feels like. Even though there are clear difference between paintball guns and real guns but that is not why they train with paintball simulation. The real reason is this allows them to apply the strategies that they have gone over on the drawing boards to actually practice. It also allows the soldiers and polices to build chemistry with each other for future.
