Snooker Tables Only For Children

When I was shopping around for a pool table or snooker table buying guide, most of them focused on the slate bed tables, the kind of pool table you would find in your local which were not very suitable for our 7 year old son not to mention our budget! So I decided to put together all the information I found out when researching the smaller tables so it may help someone else in my position. We were looking at spending under 250 so that ruled out any slate bed pool tables. Also we wanted the table to fit in his bedroom so again, anything over 6ft was not going to work. There are some really good folding pool tables available for this price and less, so perfect if your child has a smaller bedroom or you wanted the table to be used in a living space. I found a whole number of websites selling cheap pool tables however; I wanted a good quality affordable pool table for a child so finding something that ticked that box was difficult. When spending under 250 all of the tables will either be made of MDF or plastics, personally we wanted a wood finish so lucky for us there are more wooden tables than plastic so that didnt hurt our search too much. The things to ask with these tables are, 1. Do they come with full instructions? We did order a pool table initially from one company and there were no instructions whatsoever, so please dont make the mistake we did! 2. What accessories does the table come with? We found all the decent tables came with a set of accessories included. Make sure there are a set of balls, a triangle and 2 cues at the very least. 3. Does the table have leg levellers? This may or may not be needed depending on your flooring. Our floor is not very level so a table with independent leg levellers was a must in order to get the pool table playing straight. 4. This is not really about the table but more about the retailers. We found a lot of websites and companies charging for delivery on top of the table price which would have made us go over budget. My opinion is to shop around as there are a handful of the more reputable retailers offering free delivery on these types of good which is a must when you are trying to get the best bang for your buck! Lastly, and most importantly, make sure you teach and young child about safety when using the cue. Make sure they always put hold it with both hands when not playing with it and dont allow them to get into the habit of hanging or swinging on it as accidents can happen and its best to start off with some ground rules in place that way you can be sure all your pool table will bring you and your child is lots of fun and enjoyable times together.
